Zero Emissions Day

September 2017

September 21st is Zero Emissions Day. So why is Eden talking about it? Well, a lot of our supporters and followers drive cars, and driving cars contributes to carbon emissions in our atmosphere. This is where we come in—trees improve air quality by removing carbon from the atmosphere. Eden Reforestation Projects wants to take care of our planet, and one way we can do that is by planting trees.

You can take care of the planet, too. And Eden has a way for you to go above and beyond! Did you know that you could offset your car’s carbon emissions for a whole year for only $10? Your $10 donation plants 100 trees in Eden’s project nations, offsetting your car’s emissions, AND it provides a day of employment for a local villager!

With your support we have been able to plant over 200 million trees in Madagascar, Haiti, and Nepal!  But Eden Reforestation Projects does more than plant trees. What makes us truly unique and efficient is our Employ-to-Plant methodology.

Every donation of $10 plants 100 trees and provides a day’s employment for a local villager in Madagascar, Haiti, or Nepal. We care about the well being of the people who live in our project regions. By employing them to plant trees, we help boost their economy, provide for their families, and restore their forests. Like we said, above and beyond!

So this Zero Emissions Day, by planting with Eden Reforestation Projects you can offset your car’s carbon emissions for a year, restore a forest, and provide employment to people living in impoverished communities. Now that’s something to talk about!
