Our foundation partners provide funding to plant trees and support poverty alleviation in: Madagascar, Haiti, Nepal, Indonesia, Mozambique, Kenya, and Central America. At Eden Reforestation Projects, we hire people from local impoverished communities to plant trees. We provide them with a sufficient income, so they can provide for themselves and their families. As the reforestation efforts continue, healthy forests start to emerge and the negative effects of deforestation begin to disappear. These trees that are planted provide a habitat for animals, purify water sources, restore ocean health, control flooding and erosion, and help to replenish the soil with the nutrients needed for farming.
